Stainless steel

Stainless steel is also known as INOX – from the French inoxydable, meaning non-oxidizing. It is an iron alloy, enriched with chromium, nickel, molybdenum and other metals. For stainless steel to fulfill its properties, it is assumed that it should contain at least 10.5% chromium, which provides protection against corrosion. In turn, the addition of molybdenum increases resistance to acids and increases the steel's resistance to high temperatures and sulfide corrosion.
