The coating can be applied in two ways – by immersing the steel in molten tin or by electrolytic deposition of tin. Tin-coated sheet is characterized by high strength. Resistant to moisture and the effects of harmful chemicals, it is an exceptionally durable material intended for both building structures and small electronic components.

It is used in the food and packaging industry – it is used, among other things, for the production of cans for preserves and kitchen utensils. It is also popular among manufacturers of electronic equipment and household goods.
Tin-coated sheets are sheet metal cut to the desired size, covered with a thin layer of tin. Thanks to their smooth surface, these sheets are used in the production of food packaging and in the automotive industry for the production of interior trim elements in cars. Their high resistance to moisture and chemicals also makes them used in the construction industry, especially for finishing details.
Tin-coated strips are narrow steel strips coated with a thin layer of tin, ideally suited for precise industrial applications. In electronics, they are used for the production of components that require high precision and corrosion protection - including elements in printed circuits. They are also used in the production of packaging, e.g., can lids.
Tin-coated coils, i.e., steel wound into coils, are used in the production of pipes and other elements requiring durable protection against moisture and corrosion. They are also used in various types of mass production processes, e.g., steel profiles and structural elements in construction and automotive industries.
